Product Shot 2

The WatchMinder uses a discreet vibrating alarm to remind its wearer of daily tasks. In the case of AD/HD, the watch may display a message such as "stay on task" or "keep focused" to a child in school without alarming his surrounding classmates. For the general public, the idea is that this watch can help modify and train your own behavior. For example, smokers may program the WatchMinder to remind them to "use the patch", or "resist temptation". It can be an excellent tool for reminding the elderly of when to take their medications.

It's built-in messages include: BATHRM (bathroom); BE POS (be positive); BREATH (breathe); COUGH; FOLDIR (follow directions); FOLRUL (follow rules); GIVPOS (give positive reinforcement); GOODJB (good job); HANDUP (raise hand); IGNORE; POSIMG (positive image); POSTUR (posture); PRAY; PYATTN (pay attention); RELAX; REST; SIT; STOP; STRTCH (stretch).

The WatchMinder is a digital watch with a programmable vibrating (or optionally beeping) alarm. It can store up to 30 alarms, and features two modes of operation: training and reminder. 2" x 2-1/4" x 5/8". Weighs 2 ounces (57 g).

Amanie: #watchminder Very interesting indeed. At what age would this watch become embarrassing (and subsequently not-embarrassing)? Mar 11, 07

Erik: #watchminder This is a pretty subtle invention. It's almost like a regular watch, with the addition of a message displays coupled with advanced alarm scheduling.

I think it would be nice to have a watch like this hooked up to Google calendar. I currently have my RAZR set up this way. Mar 11, 07
