Nixon the Key

$120.00 Released January, 2007

Product Shot 1 The Pros:Durable. Key IS NOT for watchband. Tough, comfortable and I think good looking watch can be used anywhere. Dual purpose key for surfboard and watchband.

The Cons:You DO NOT need a key to take the watch off. See the description above. Nixon have no service centres in the UK. So if you want your watch to stay water resistant after the battery is changed you have to post it abroad. I think there's a service centre in France. Always need a key to take off your watch.

The Key by Nixon is a simple watch with two special features - a patented locking wrist band and a key to unscrew and lock down the crown. The band "lock" is very simple and how nobody thought of it before is amazing.

Product Shot 2 There's a stud on the loose end that fits into the looper. The key that the watch is named after is used to unscrew and screw down the crown. It's nothing more than a small allen key. This key also works as an FCS fin key. Thanks to the no nonsense brushed steel case and high quality rubber strap this watch is both tough and comfortable. And with a water resistance of 200m can be used anywhere anytime.

Features

  • Key to unlock crown and surfboard FCS fins
  • Water resistant up to 200 meters
  • Watch band: duel injected polyurethane
  • Watch case: stainless steel with hardened mineral crystal
  • Patented "locking" strap

Clone
Clone: #nixon_the_key I have this watch now for 1.5 years.. The "key" screw has fallen of twice since. Once during guarantee peroid so it was send to france and now again. It is a lovely watch to look add, but the key system is a) pointless b) prone to damage c) not user friendly. Skip this watch and get something else! Mar 17, 12
